Congregational Care Ministry

The Congregational Care Ministry team exists to reach out to members, families, and friends of the church and community to share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ with those in need of special care. The people serving in this ministry seek to be present during the storms of life, bringing the presence of Christ and the promises of God. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can best support you! There are many ways to join the care team:

Members of NPC’s Visiting Team visit homebound members and others regularly, whether in care centers, private homes, or elsewhere. The purpose of the Visiting Team is to provide friendship, prayer, and the human touch to those who are struggling with illness, loneliness, loss, and grief. Visiting Team Contact: Mary Jo Johnson

Members of NPC’s SERVE team are on the Hospital Visitation team and make hospital visits to provide support, encouragement, and prayer to NPC members, friends, and families including their loved ones. If you would like to schedule a hospital visit, email amesnpc@gmail.com, or call 515-233-2540. Even if you have communicated to the hospital that you would like Northminister Presbyterian Church to be notified, please be sure to reach out to us directly so we can ensure a member of the Hospital Visitation team stops by!

The NPC Meal Train is always ready. We prepare or purchase ready-to-eat meals or freezer meals for people with illness, a new baby, a death in the family, or any other challenge in life. If you or someone you know within the NPC community are in need of this ministry, please contact the church office at 515-233-2540 or by email at amesnpc@gmail.com.

If you would like to be a meal provider go to www.mealtrain.com and sign up to help this worthy mission.

Let us pray for you…During our church services we uplift joys and concerns in our prayers for ourselves, our families, our neighbors, our community, our nation, and the world. Let us know how we can pray for you.
